About the Innovation Exchange

What is the IX?

The Innovation Exchange (IX), a project of EDF’s Corporate Partnership Program, works to catalyze innovation and experience-sharing that will make adopting sustainable business practices cheaper, easier, and smarter.

We:

• Facilitate business-to-business sharing around sustainability.
• Identify and promote promising new practices
• Support environmental innovators within companies with collaborative tools and resources

Our work

The IX team is testing new models for information sharing, idea generation and collaboration among businesses and innovators. And we are growing a robust informal network of companies, large and small, entrepreneurs and investors, NGOs and trade groups, and academics and government officials through a variety of on and offline activities.

Why does it matter?

The threats facing the planet and human health are increasingly dire. Business is evolving, but not rapidly enough to meet the scale of our collective environmental challenge. We need new ideas, new methods, new and larger partnerships, and new platforms to accelerate the transition to a more efficiency, profitable and sustainable global economies.
