EDF-InnoCentive Eco-Challenge Series
EDF has long been committed to transparency in sustainable innovation. We hope to work with companies to ensure that solutions have the greatest possible impact.
InnoCentive and EDF have launched a series of open-innovation competitions. We are looking for companies from a variety of industries to partner with us to design and host Challenges. Ideal company partners are those that want to tackle sustainability problems, large and small; are interested in experimenting with open R&D and crowd-sourcing, and are looking for fresh ideas and opportunities to be sustainability thought leaders in their industries.
The EDF-InnoCentive team will work closely with participating companies to design Challenges and prizes, vet submissions, select winners, and promote the program and its results widely.
Companies can benefit from this new partnership in a myriad of ways. The open innovation platform offered by InnoCentive can help a company lower its costs to innovate as well as expand the horizon of possible solutions. Successful solutions will be those that improve the environment while also generating tangible business benefits (e.g. reduce operating costs, increase revenue, decrease risk, enhance brand, create new markets, etc.) By tapping into this crowd, otherwise unobtainable solutions become possible.
If you work for a company that might be interested in participating in a Challenge with EDF and InnoCentive, contact Justin Olsson at EDF – firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are an individual interested in environmental problems and solutions, and have an idea of a Challenge that you would like to see EDF put up for a solution, also direct those to Justin Olsson – email@example.com
