Faurecia – Yi Zheng – 2025

Yi Zheng supported a global automotive supplier in advancing its sustainability and decarbonization goals through comprehensive value chain analysis and strategic planning.

The project aimed to address the growing pressure on automotive companies to reduce emissions across their entire value chain. Yi was tasked with evaluating industry best practices, identifying efficiency opportunities, and developing actionable strategies to enhance the host organization’s environmental and operational resilience. The broader mission was to align the company’s practices with evolving regulatory requirements and customer expectations in sustainability.

Yi led a cross-sector analysis of sustainability practices, examining environmental and operational strategies among industry leaders. This involved benchmarking performance metrics, evaluating energy and emissions management approaches, and identifying innovative supply chain practices. She facilitated collaboration between internal teams and integrated findings into strategic planning, helping shape the company’s approach to decarbonization and sustainable transformation.

The project delivered actionable insights and tools designed to significantly reduce the organization’s carbon footprint while strengthening its supply chain resilience. By enabling more informed decision-making and highlighting tangible energy-saving opportunities, Yi’s work supports progress toward climate targets and promotes a more sustainable and equitable approach to industrial operations. The outcomes contribute not only to environmental benefits but also to long-term operational and competitive advantages.
