Dr. Karine Kleinhaus is Director of Sustainable Finance at Environmental Defense Fund, where she leads research and strategic initiatives to engage the finance sector in accelerating the clean energy transition. Previously, she was an Associate Professor of Marine Biology and Conservation, an executive in the biotechnology industry, and a physician and researcher. Karine brings a diverse and multidisciplinary perspective to her work at EDF. She graduated from Princeton University, holds a Master's degree in Marine Biology and Conservation from Stony Brook University, and an M.D. from Tel Aviv University.
