Hitachi Consulting – Brian Liberatore – 2015

Goals

Hitachi Consulting Energy Solutions (HCES), a division of Hitachi Consulting, helps large enterprises manage and reduce their energy consumption through sustainable infrastructures. The organization enlisted EDF Climate Corps fellow Brian Liberatore to develop a strategy for expanding the business model, delivering deeper energy savings and capitalizing on cutting-edge energy management technology.

Solutions

Liberatore worked closely with HCES leadership and the product development team to build a detailed three-year growth plan and strategic roadmap. Liberatore led meetings, performed industry research and conducted interviews with leaders in the energy management sector and across the Hitachi family of companies. He determined the financial, technical and logistical implications of new energy management solutions, analyzed industry trends and designed a pragmatic approach to short- and medium-term growth.

Potential Impact

Moving forward, the HCES leadership team could use Liberatore’s work to guide the next stage of solution and market development, growing the company’s impact for its clients and the environment.
