PointClickCare – Shreya Mukhopadhyay – 2025
Summary
Shreya Mukhopadhyay worked at PointClickCare to build its decarbonization strategy through a comprehensive Scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) analysis and supplier engagement. She developed a near-term and five-year emissions reduction roadmap (2025- 2030) that enables the company to manage better and reduce its most material GHG emissions categories.
Goals
PointClickCare is a health-tech SaaS company in North America, and has recently committed to embedding sustainability into its operations while continuing its innovations in digital healthcare solutions. To advance the mission, the company enlisted EDF Climate Corps fellow Shreya Mukhopadhyay to conduct a detailed assessment of its Scope 3 emissions, find any gaps, and design actionable strategies that align with the industry best practices.
Solutions
During her time, Shreya collaborated with cross-functional team members for two different projects and data collection. She performed a thorough analysis of the company’s 2024 GHG emissions data, focusing on high-impact Scope 3 categories such as purchased goods & services and business travel. Shreya combined platform-based accounting with independent validation to maintain accuracy. She conducted a supplier hotspot analysis and designed goals that help in decarbonization while supporting the company’s business growth. Additionally, she led a sustainability employee resource group (ERG) initiative for corporate sustainability knowledge sharing to the company employees, and presented a company-wide webinar that engaged more than 145 live attendees.
Potential Impact
Shreya’s work equips PointClickCare with a foundational supplier engagement framework and a clear pathway toward 2030 reduction goals aligned with GHG protocol guidelines and science-based targets. The decarbonization roadmap provides a guideline for further progress, improves data quality, operational efficiency, and transparency, positioning PointClickCare to advance its sustainability practices credibly. Her recommendations will enable the company to continue building its GHG inventories and achieve measurable Scope 3 reductions while fostering supplier accountability and resilience across its value chain. Importantly, through the webinar, she initiated a company-wide dialogue on corporate sustainability practices and education, laying the groundwork for long-term cultural and operational benefits at PointClickCare.
