Goals

Sila, an engineered materials company focused on dramatically improving energy storage performance and production of efficiency, enlisted EDF Climate Corps fellow Angelo Batalla to identify regulatory and market requirements to strengthen Sila’s sustainability and go to market strategies.

Solutions

Developing a comprehensive understating of emissions regulations and market requirements required Angelo to:

  • Map regulatory landscape concerning GHG emissions and assessment methodologies (LCA, PEF) applicable to EU, US, and China
  • Conduct in-depth assessment of emissions, corporate sustainability, taxonomy, batteries, and circular economy regulations shaping the EU mobility industry
  • Contextualize insights with Sila’s long term plans and identify critical milestones shaping mid- and long-term commercialization objectives
  • Develop recommendations to continue strengthening of sustainability strategy

Potential Impact

Angelo’s rigorous and comprehensive analysis will serve as the foundation for future sustainability initiatives and decarbonization efforts.
