Solutions
Stephen tackled his projects in three ways:
1. Analyzing and improving Scope 1 and Scope 2 data quality: Stephen used a carbon accounting platform to analyze the Scope 1 and 2 emissions of Baker Tilly’s 80+ offices for 2024. He identified inconsistencies or errors in the data and improved the quality by confirming office details with stakeholders across the firm.
2. Reviewing the TCFD report: Stephen aligned Baker Tilly’s draft TCFD report with TCFD framework principles. He documented data collection processes anc ensured reporting met regulatory requirements.
3. Scope 3 frameworks: Stephen worked with Baker Tilly’s senior director of procurement to categorize and prepare supplier data for future Scope 3 emissions analysis. He created a strategic roadmap to improve supplier ESG metrics and data quality, supporting future Scope 3 disclosures.
