Goals 

Lin Shi worked at Boston Medical Center (BMC), the largest safety net hospital in New England.

Solutions

Shi benchmarked facilities and identified opportunities to improve data collection. She also analyzed energy-saving measures including implementing computer power management software and upgrading lighting systems to LEDs.

Potential Impact

Shi’s work contributed to BMC’s strategic roadmap to achieve its 25 percent carbon reduction pledge by 2020.
