Centerbridge Partners – Aman Tiku – 2025

Centerbridge Partners, L.P., a global alternative investment manager, engaged Climate Corps fellow Aman Tiku to improve sustainability integration in the Firm’s diligence and decision making processes.

Centerbridge has a well-established sustainable value creation (SVC) program and a dedicated SVC Lead since 2018. The Firm aimed to enhance how it integrates sustainability into diligence and investment decision-making across private equity, private credit, and real estate. Centerbridge engaged Aman Tiku, an MBA candidate at the Berkeley Haas School of Business, as its 2025 Climate Corps fellow. Aman leveraged his prior professional experience consulting to middle market private equity and private credit investors on sustainability risks and opportunities. He enhanced the sustainability diligence process to further tailor it to the Firm’s investment themes, as well as supported the Firm’s carbon accounting for 2023-2024.

Aman embedded himself in Centerbridge’s SVC program to understand how sustainability was integrated across the Firm’s asset classes. He completed sustainability analyses on multiple transaction opportunities at the Firm, including by leveraging AI to realize new efficiencies. Aman used learnings from these projects to synthesize a comprehensive sustainability diligence process that combined related tools and resources within the Firm. Aman also supported Centerbridge’s carbon accounting for the Firm and its portfolio for the 2023-2024 period, creating a repeatable methodology for Centerbridge to track its carbon footprint on a yearly basis.

Aman’s work will help Centerbridge to include sustainability analysis consistently, insightfully, and efficiently in investment decisions across asset classes. Furthermore, his project management on the Firm’s carbon accounting will unlock opportunities for the Firm to explore emissions reduction initiatives over multiyear timelines across the portfolio.
