Colgate-Palmolive – Adam Gordon – 2013

Goals 

Adam Gordon was asked to work on a variety projects to support environmental performance in the global supply chain at Colgate-Palmolive.

Solutions

Working with the Global Energy Team, Gordon developed a tool for the capital budgeting process to standardize the analysis of energy consumption, carbon emissions and operating costs of new capital projects. To support the company’s zero waste to landfill initiative, he worked on the development of the ‘Trash to Treasure’ waste-audit program, along with coordinating the pilot event in Cambridge, OH and creating a toolkit for global rollout. He also worked to support energy efficiency in procurement by developing a web portal to share Colgate’s energy resources with suppliers.
