Industrial Bank – Ruoxi Wu – 2024

Summary

Ruoxi was deeply involved in industrial research about the development of green transportation.

Goals

Founded in 2015, CIB Research has carried out professional research in the fields of macro market, green finance, financial industry, and other sectors. During the fellowship, Ruoxi worked at the CIB Institute for Carbon Neutrality and Finance. Ruoxi was engaged in industrial investigation and policy studies in the transportation sector towards China’s dual carbon goal. The results will support the team’s research work.

Solutions

Ruoxi was mainly involved in two research projects.
The first project was the study of the application of sustainable fuels in the transportation sector.
First, Ruoxi summarized the current development through a literature review. Then, Ruoxi conducted a comprehensive policy review for the global dominant markets. Ruoxi worked together with the senior researcher to provide recommendations for the development of sustainable fuels.
The second project was the study of road freight decarbonization. First, Ruoxi investigated the major pathways to realize zero-carbon road freight. Ruoxi then conducted a comprehensive policy review and further provided recommendations for industry development.

Potential Impact

Ruoxi was deeply engaged in the writing of two research reports. The reports provided detailed information for the research and the research team in the field of transportation decarbonization, covering the application of sustainable fuels and zero-emission vehicles. Ruoxi provided analysis recommendations on the development of green transportation.
