Goals
KKR, a leading global investment firm, engaged Climate Corps fellow Mel Peh to research emerging and best practices relating to the consideration of climate issues in the credit investment process.
Solutions
Mel completed an analysis on best practices related to the integration of climate-related risk for private credit investments, proposed a tool that aims to complement the existing credit investment process, and provided a recommended implementation plan. In addition, Mel assisted with:
- Streamlining data processes on climate-related data management
- Creating materials on physical risk assessment tools evaluation
- Developing a set of criteria to guide the development of climate-aligned products
Potential Impact
Mel’s work helped identify potential tools and actions to complement KKR’s existing credit investment process, specifically around climate risk.
