Goals
Neeraj Mokha was asked by Quality Technology Services (QTS) to identify incentives and rebates to fund energy efficiency upgrades at its Atlanta, GA, and Suwanee, GA, locations.
Solutions
Mokha recommended installing light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and blanking panels at all facilities, as well as outfitting air conditioning (CRAC) units with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) fans.
Potential Impact
Mokha determined that these upgrades could save QTS $1 million, 17 million kilowatt hours of electricity and 10,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually. He also identified incentives and rebates that could save QTS $200,000 in 2012.
