SKF – Yidan Hao – 2025

Yidan Hao developed SKF China’s ESG Action Brochure to empower sales with sustainability value propositions.

As a Climate Corps fellow at SKF China, Yidan Hao was tasked with integrating SKF’s ambitious sustainability goals directly with business functions to support value-based sales. The primary objective was to address the need for clear, client-facing communication of SKF’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives within the Chinese market. This involved translating complex ESG data and case studies into actionable narratives for the sales team, ensuring SKF’s commitment to decarbonization and sustainability was effectively leveraged for business growth and client engagement.

The primary impact of Yidan’s fellowship is the delivery of the SKF China ESG Action Brochure, a vital resource empowering the sales team to effectively communicate SKF’s sustainability leadership. This brochure translates SKF’s extensive ESG efforts into compelling narratives and data, directly supporting value-based sales and enhancing customer engagement. By providing clear talking points and documented initiatives, the brochure strengthens SKF’s market position and accelerates progress toward its decarbonization and net-zero emission targets. The work also establishes a foundation for embedding ESG further into sales strategies and ongoing sustainability data collection.
