The Marketing Store Worldwide – Ruixin Yang – 2025

Yang Ruixin advanced energy efficiency and carbon reduction planning at Qingfa Ceramics, a key tms supplier.

tms is dedicated to advancing sustainability across its supply chain. As part of this effort, tms engaged Yang Ruixin through Climate Corps to support representative suppliers like Qingfa Ceramics in addressing challenges in energy efficiency, renewable integration, and long-term emissions planning. The fellowship established accurate energy baselines, designed a science-based decarbonization roadmap, and recommended actionable efficiency upgrades, enabling Qingfa to meet international sustainability standards, reduce costs, and enhance global competitiveness.

During the fellowship, Yang Ruixin led a series of initiatives to strengthen Qingfa’s path toward sustainable growth. He began by conducting a comprehensive energy analysis, combining equipment-level surveys and production-floor interviews to model electricity and natural gas demand under full capacity. Building on this foundation, he developed a Net Zero Roadmap aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), providing staged emission reduction pathways for the next decades. He also designed an Energy Management System framework and evaluated three suppliers to enable real-time monitoring and ensure regulatory compliance. In addition, he assessed the performance of Phase I rooftop solar, planned a Phase II PV+storage expansion, and introduced strategies for production-energy dispatch optimization and air compressor retrofits, unlocking both economic and environmental benefits.

The projects collectively identified over 3,000 tons of potential annual CO2 reductions and an increase of approximately 2.3 GWh of renewable electricity use and energy savings each year. These outcomes are driven by PV expansion, EMS-enabled efficiency gains, production-energy scheduling optimization, and equipment retrofits. Most importantly, Qingfa now has a clear Net Zero Roadmap and phased implementation plan, enabling alignment with tms supply chain requirements, strengthening compliance with provincial energy supervision, and positioning the company as a model ceramic manufacturer in low-carbon transformation.
