Seeking Increased Sustainability Capacity? Host an EDF Climate Corps Fellow

As the climate crisis accelerates, organizations are under intensifying pressure to deliver sustainability reporting and solutions. EDF’s Climate Corps fellows are here to help. These talented graduate students are ready to add capacity and bring energy and fresh ideas to challenges like emissions reduction, renewable energy, carbon accounting, and climate justice to help you achieve your goals.

It’s really reassuring knowing you’re getting someone who is talented, has a good amount of work experience, and has subject matter expertise in areas that are hard to find in general recruiting.”

2024 Host Supervisor and 2021 Climate Corps Fellow

Why Host a Fellow?

Climate Corps fellows are problem-solvers ready to quickly execute your climate and energy priorities. By bringing a fellow on board, your team gains access to a dedicated graduate student who will support and accelerate your sustainability initiatives. Over 80 companies have participated in Climate Corps for 5 or more consecutive years, demonstrating the consistent value and reliability that fellows bring to organizations.

This year we hosted our 14th fellow…  the fellow developed a set of 12 recommendations to improve our GHG inventory process. He presented these and socialized them with 6 different teams of stakeholders both internal and external including an executive member. The business case the fellow presented for some of his top-line recommendations were so solid that they were immediately greenlit.

Over the past 17 years, more than 650 companies – including 40% of the Fortune 100 – have partnered with EDF to host a Climate Corps fellow. What’s more, fellows in total have identified energy savings worth more than $1.6 billion, the equivalent of over 2.2 million metric tons in carbon emissions. Top organizations are already leveraging our fellows, and now you can too.

Our fellows have accelerated our sustainability work in ways that would have never been possible; they doubled the capacity of our team and gave me space to focus on strategic initiatives.
