Bess Waldram

Bess works with food and agriculture companies at the Environmental Defense Fund to cut methane emissions across the dairy sector, sitting at the intersection of corporate partnerships, disclosure standards, and public policy. She supports partnerships across the Dairy Methane Action Alliance, guiding member companies’ public disclosure of methane emissions and development of methane action plans, and supports efforts to unlock EU public funding for emissions reductions. As part of this work, she leads facilitation for global sectoral convenings, bringing together companies, policymakers, and researchers to advance collective action on dairy methane. Bess holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and has previous experience spanning investment banking at Citigroup and product development and operations at a precision fermentation startup.
