Jenny Mandel

Jenny Mandel is a Senior Manager for Strategic Initiatives on EDF’s Sustainable Finance team, where she builds pathways for investors, asset owners, insurers and other providers of capital to advance sustainable growth and resilience.

Jenny’s focus is on accelerating the transition to clean electricity and fuels in energy-intensive sectors, including improving environmental performance in the data centers that enable artificial intelligence and developing frameworks to de‑risk and accelerate clean tech deployment.

Before joining the nonprofit sector, Jenny spent more than a decade as a reporter with E&E News covering the policy, politics, science, and business of energy. As a reporter she shaped coverage of the oil and gas sector, explored energy research and innovation, and tracked state and federal policy development. She graduated from Duke University with a Master’s degree in Environmental Leadership and Management.
